In This Week’s Bag

Sorry for the delay in this post. I try to get this up on Saturday, which is when I pick up my CSA, but we’ve been having a lot of company which has significantly reduced my writing time.

It’s a delicious bag this week full of items we love – broccoli, mushrooms, green beans, and tomatoes. And, of course, we have more apples. The great thing, though, is that each week, we’ve been getting different apples. I’ve enjoyed getting to taste different apples one after the other and really appreciating the different flavors of each. When I buy them at the grocery store, I can’t remember from one batch to the next what they tasted like. It’s been an interesting experiment in the subtleties of apples.

So, onwards…

In the bag:

Pink Lady Apples – Saunders brothers

Broccoli – W.T. Nottingham

Fresh Mustard Greens – Kirby Farms

Green Beans – Fred Chesser

Button Mushrooms – PA

Tomatoes – Kirby Farms
